Top 10 Summer Beauty Products
Hello everyone! Summer is just around the corner, this Sunday to be exact, and where I live is already EXTREMELY hot! It’s been in the high 90’s this week and next week is going to be scorching too! With heat comes sweat, dehydration, and sunburn so I want to share with you all my essential beauty products for summer that will keep you looking and feeling great!

1. St. Ives Apricot Face Scrubs
I love using these scrubs because I really feel like I’m really getting the dirt, oil, and makeup off my face. A light exfoliation is essential to getting rid of old skin cells and polishing the face. I use this all year around but they are especially good to use in the summer when you need to get dry skin off your face, sweat, sunscreen, etc. Also I don’t recommend the store brand; I tried it and the consistency is not the same.
2. Clarins Ecran Multi-Protection Facial Sunscreen
Let me start off my saying yes this sunscreen is a bit pricey but like I’ve said many times before, you want to put quality products on your face; it is your face after all! I purchased this from Sephora and I love it! It’s not thick, heavy, or greasy and goes on smoothly You can put this on under your makeup or wear it by itself.
3. Alba Botanica Hawaiian Facial Toner
I picked this up about a month ago from TjMaxx and I love it. I really love the smell; it smells fresh and natural. This hypo-allergenic formula doesn’t contain any parabens or phthalates and is not tested on animals. It’s also made from 100% vegetarian ingredients and the bottle is made with 100% recycled material. Toners are essential because they hydrate and get excess dirt and oil off your face that you didn’t even think you had. This one hydrates but be careful because toners containing alcohol or salicylic acid will not hydrate because they are usually meant to dry out acne. I apply my toner to a cotton round and just wipe away.
4. Evian Facial Spray
I bought a travel size pack of 2 of these from Sephora and it’s great to take to the pool, beach, or wherever you think you might need it. It cools the skin and helps you feel refreshed. Evian claims it can be used as a makeup setting spray and that it also removes perspiration salt, ocean water, and pool chlorine water.
5. Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer
This primer is good for those who have oily skin but also good for anyone who wants to keep their makeup in place and stay shine free. With summer being here and these hot temperatures, your makeup is more than likely to get “melty” looking and this is going to help keep it in place.
6. Mario Badescu Facial Spray
I LOVE this facial spray! I spray this on my face after I wash my face and before I apply my primer. Not only does it make my skin feel refreshed, I really do believe it makes a difference in how my makeup turns out because when I don’t use it I notice a difference. It says that it can also be used as a makeup setting spray.
7. L’Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray
Setting sprays are essential for keeping your makeup in place on these hot summer days, especially if you plan on being outside.
8. The Healthy Deodorant by Lavanila
This deodorant smells good and feels smooth. It’s formulated without the ingredients that your typical drugstore deodorants have, like aluminum which is not good for you. I purchased mine from Sephora and I like the vanilla scent.
9. Perfect Body Luminous Lotion by Victoria’s Secret
The good news is that I really love this lotion, the bad news is that Victoria’s Secret stopped carrying it!!! I feel like Victoria’s Secret keeps discontinuing things I like, what a let down. This is a tinted lotion that gives a glow and shimmer to wherever you put it. I don’t like self tanners and I try my best to stay out of the sun so when I wear a skirt or shorts I put this on my legs and it gives me a little glow. I’m sure there are other lotions like this out there but I haven’t looked yet. Luckily I still have a couple of these lotions left!
10. Ouidad Sun Shield Sun & Sport Leave-in Spray
This spray is great for your hair because it detangles and protects your hair from the sun, chlorine water, salt, and wind. Your hair can get damaged from UV rays just like your skin so it’s important to protect it, especially if you’re going to the beach or pool. Ouidad’s products are also great for curly-haired women like myself.
