Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, & They’re in Beauty Products Too!
Hello everyone and TGIF! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve done a post; I’ve been so busy and exhausted this week! Today I bring to you my favorite rose products. A rose is an eternal symbol for beauty so why not have them in beauty products? I didn’t even know roses were used so much in beauty products until last year. Roses are a natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agent. They also contain antioxidants and have a toning effect. Obviously if you don’t like the way roses smell then you won’t like these products but if you do then you will love them!
I use this rose lip balm that I bought from Sephora almost on a daily basis. It’s Vaseline with cottonseed oil and their “trade secret perfume”, it’s great for dry or chapped lips and definitely natural! They also sell it in a jar as well but I prefer it in a tube so that I don’t get my fingers messy and it’s also more sanitary.
I bought this bubble bath from TjMaxx and I loved it so much that I went back and got another one for when I run out; it’s very relaxing.
I also bought this hand cream from TjMaxx. It’s made in Italy and a little goes a long way because it’s thick; definitely a nice hydrating hand cream especially for these upcoming colder months.
I got this rose body mist from H&M and I have to say that for a body mist it’s pretty concentrated so it doesn’t take much. I like body mists for freshening up, for travel, or before I go to bed.
I have to say that I LOVE this face mask! I got a few of these as samples from Sephora and I haven’t actually bought a jar of it because it’s pretty expensive. This mask soothes and calms the skin and there’s actually real rose fragments in it! I think that’s why it’s probably expensive, if I remember correctly it’s about $60 for a jar! Fresh is a really good brand and if you would like to try it out you can ask for a sample from Sephora.
I love Burt’s Bees products because they are very natural and from North Carolina! Toners are great for getting leftover traces of dirt and makeup off. If you’ve never used a toner you will be so surprised with how much dirt will come off, even after you’ve already washed your face! If you look very closely at this toner you will see tiny bits of rose fragments floating around, it’s definitely the real deal. I apply my toner onto an organic cotton round from Rite Aid (shown above) and wipe it all over my face. Burt’s Bee’s products can be purchased at most drug stores and I’ve also seen Burt’s Bees products in Harris Teeter supermarkets. They also have an online website.
Hope you guys have a great weekend! 🙂
