Makeup Monday: Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Foundation
It’s Makeup Monday and I’m going to give my review on Kat Von D’s Lock-it Tattoo Foundation that I purchased from Sephora a couple of days ago. If you’ve been curious about this foundation or wanting to try it then I hope this review will answer all of your questions!

- Full coverage
- No SPF
- Thick, creamy consistency
- 18 shades available- I bought the lightest shade and it’s overall a pretty good match. It does oxidize as the day goes on though which makes it not match. I have very fair skin.
- Long lasting? Yes but it’s SO thick! As the day goes on, the coverage is still there but it looks oily and cakey. I like full coverage foundations but this one is too much for me.
- Formulated without parabens and synthetic fragrances
- Doesn’t smell bad but doesn’t smell good either.
- Since this foundation is very thick I noticed that it settles into any fine lines throughout the day even though I used a setting powder.
- Overall opinion: I like the coverage but it’s way too thick for my liking and for everyday wear. The price is very reasonable considering most foundations I like are more expensive. If you break out easily or have oily skin then this foundation isn’t for you. If you have a lot of blemishes or spots to cover then this foundation is the one. I think I would use this foundation for photo shoots since it does have great coverage but wouldn’t wear it otherwise.
