Makeup Monday: Diorskin Forever Foundation
It’s Monday and it has been FOREVER since I have done a Makeup Monday post! Today I’m going to be reviewing a foundation by Christian Dior (Diorskin Forever Flawless Perfection Wear Makeup) that I recently bought from Sephora. When buying makeup that is pricey, many people are skeptical and look for reviews first to see if it’s really worth the money. After I’ve given my review on this foundation hopefully you will be able to decide if it’s right for you!
XO Catherine
- Buildable coverage; medium-full
- Liquid consistency
- 30 ml or 1 FL. OZ
- Made in Paris, France
- SPF 25
- 12 shades available- I bought the lightest shade (Ivory 010) and it’s still a little darker than my skin color, I’m very fair. Women who are very fair may have some trouble with this foundation.
- Clean/floral scent, smells amazing!
- Flawless? Pretty much. My skin looked so nice, smooth, and radiant after putting it on.
- Long lasting? It’s been about 6.5 hours since I’ve put this foundation on and the coverage is still pretty much there, maybe fading a little, and my face is looking a little oily/shiny. I didn’t use a primer and I have combination-oily skin to begin with so this may or may not happen to someone who has a different skin type. I also used a setting powder.
- Worth the money? It costs $50 and I do think it’s worth the money. Since it is expensive I might wear this foundation for when I’m going out as opposed to going to work and school.
Comparing this to another designer makeup I’ve tried (Chanel’s Perfection Lumiere Foundation), I do like this Dior foundation better. The coverage is better, it smells just as good as the Chanel foundation if not better, it costs $8 less, and has more SPF. The price of the Chanel foundation just went from $57 to $58, crazy! The only thing I can say is that women with very fair complexions may find a better match with the Chanel foundation. Click HERE to see my review on Chanel’s Perfection Lumiere Foundation. Overall I definitely think this Dior foundation is worth trying. If you want to try it out before buying, Sephora will give you a sample.
