Destination Vacation: What to Wear
Hello Fashionistas! As you probably read in my previous post, I traveled to Miami for Spring Break and I mentioned that my next post would be on what I wore; here it is! Sorry for the wait! All of these looks are great to wear while vacationing in a tropical/warmer climate. Hope you all enjoy!

Outfit #1: Chic Maxi
Maxi dresses are a great daytime look! They’re comfortable and breezy. The one I’m wearing here I bought from TjMaxx ad paired it with some black flat sandals from Forever 21, a Gucci purse, gold coin necklace, and Prada sunglasses.
Outfit #2: Tribal Ensemble
I recently bought this jumpsuit from Forever21 and decided to bring it with me on vacation. Rompers and jumpsuits are great for any kind of event and are comfortable. I really like the pattern on this one and by pairing it with a wooden beaded necklace it gives the overall ensemble a tribal look. I paired it with gold flat sandals from Forever21, a Michael Kors tote, and a gold bracelet from Aldo with the archer symbol.
Outfit #3: A Night in the Tropics
Crop tops and maxi skirts are always great pieces to wear in hot climates. Make sure you pair a crop top with a high-waist bottom as opposed to a bottom that rests at the hips. Here I paired a high-low skirt with a tropical print crop top both from Forever 21, a lace sweater is from Charlotte Russe, brown sandal wedges by Franco Sarto, and a custom made gold body chain purchased on Etsy. I wore this outfit out to dinner one night but this would also be a nice day time look worn with flat sandals.
Outfit #4: Birds of Paradise
I LOVE this outfit! I’m really obsessed with bird accessories and clothing! I think this makes a great tropical look; it’s vibrant and colorful! Top is from Charlotte Russe, pants are Celebrity Pink, earrings are from Aldo, and the wedge sandals are from Forever 21.
Outfit #5: Floral Señorita
This outfit is great for going out a night or going shopping during the day. I love this floral pattern and I like the high-low aspect of it. I love the flow of the fabric and every time I put it on I feel like I should be dancing salsa! I paired it with the same shoes as in the previous outfit. When traveling, it’s a good idea to bring shoes that go with multiple looks. this dress is from Charlotte Russe.
Outfit #6: Beautiful Blossoms
As soon as I saw this skirt I had to have it! It screams chic and spring! I purchased it a couple of months ago from Forever 21 and this was my first time wearing it. I wore this look to the grand opening of Bagatelle and one of my aunt’s friends said my skirt was very Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker’s character on Sex and the City) a.k.a a really nice compliment because Carrie Bradshaw is a fashion queen! I paired it with a simple white tank top I purchased from Target and white wedge Sandals from BCBGeneration. I also wore the same gold coin necklace that I was wearing in the first outfit.
Beach
When it comes to swimsuits, I prefer to wear a bandeau top. I really don’t like tan lines so this style ensures that I won’t have any around my neck. I like mixing different colored tops and bottoms; both the top and bottom in the left photo are from Victoria’s Secret as well as my cover up pants in the right photo. I’m a really huge fan of palm leaf and tropical prints so as soon as I saw these pants I had to buy them. My white tunic top is from TjMaxx, flip flops are BCBGeneration, sunglasses are Michael Kors, beach tote is from Victoria’s Secret as well (free with swim purchase!). Hats are essential in tropical climates, they keep the sun off of your face and keep you cool. One that has a medium to large size brim is best!
I love high waist bikinis! I have the one pictured above but didn’t get a chance to wear it while on vacation. I fell in love with this print when I saw it in American Apparel and I had to have it! I like the retro look of high waist bikinis and are very flattering on most body shapes.
