Black & White with a Pop of Red

TGIF! I hope you guys had a good week. I actually wore this outfit last Friday when I went out to dinner and to see a movie. I went to go see ‘No Good Deed’ and I have to say I loved it! It’s definitely worth seeing! I usually like to wear colorful outfits as you’ve probably already noticed but I also love black and white looks; there’s something classy and elegant about it if you wear the right thing. When I’m wearing black and white I usually like to put a pop of color on my lips so that something stands out. For this look I chose the Smooch Proof 16 hour Lip Stain marker from NYC Makeup in the color called ‘Rock on Ruby’. The NYC Lip Stain Markers only cost $4.99 and the colors are so beautiful; they really look nice. I put a clear coat of chap stick or lip gloss over mine so that my lips don’t look dried out because lip stain markers have a tendency to dry out your lips.  I’m wearing a new shirt that I got from Forever21 (click here for shirt) for only $8.80, it’s cute and such a great deal! I’m also wearing black light weight knit shorts, a Michael Kors silver unisex watch, BCBG black suede heels, silver hoop earrings, and my beloved Prada baroque sunglasses! I was in love with these sunglasses from the moment they came out, I love things that are unique and different from the norm. I usually never wear heels with my outfits because they are so uncomfortable; I don’t mind wearing wedge sandals or high heel boots but I just find pumps completely uncomfortable. I bought these heels last year for my interview outfit when I competed for the title of Miss North Carolina USA and they are very comfortable! They fit perfectly and they’re not too high; they’re great for work or for going out. This outfit is perfect for a night out with the girls or for a date night. 🙂
