Best & Worst Dressed at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes Film Festival happens every year and this year it’s from May 13th to May 24th. This film festival previews films of all genres including documentaries. Founded in 1946, It’s held in Cannes, France and is one of the most popular film festivals in the world. Even though it’s not over I thought I would go ahead and give my picks for best and worst dressed. These choices reflect my personal style and taste in fashion. Top 5 Best Dressed
5. Lupita Nyong’o in Gucci Première
Lupita always looks so happy, confident, and full of life no matter what she’s wearing. Sometimes that’s the key to looking good. Although I’m not a huge fan of this gown, I do like the color and I like the way her hair is styled.
4. Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Haute Couture
A lot of celebs shy away from yellow but Charlize pulls it off effortlessly! I love seeing bright colors on the red carpet. She looks beautiful and this gown is perfectly tailored.
3. Emma Stone in Christian Dior Haute Couture
Emma Stone always looks AMAZING! This look is simple yet so elegant. I also love the choker she’s wearing; it’s a modern take on the 90’s trend.
2. Doutzen Kroes in Atelier Versace
Doutzen is perfection in this gown! It’s simple with just enough going on so that it doesn’t look boring. I also love her makeup and how her hair is perfectly undone; it doesn’t take much for her to look good. She is a Victoria’s Secret model after all.
1. Karlie Kloss in Atelier Versace
This outfit is a work of art; it’s so unique! She looks amazing and this is eye-catching in a chic way, not a crazy and tacky way. I love it.
Top 5 Worst Dressed
5. Charlize Theron in Valentino
Yes, Charlize is also on my worst dressed list. I don’t know what she was thinking with this dress; she looks like she belongs in a Western! At least she redeemed herself with the yellow gown.
4. Melissa George in Schiaparelli Couture
I don’t even know what one would call this but there’s too much fabric and patterns going on. This definitely shouldn’t be worn at the Cannes Film Festival.
3. Liya Kebede in Proenza Schouler
It looks like some red moss started to take over her dress…enough said.
2. Liya Kebede in Louis Vuitton
This looks like a futuristic space-girl outfit, not digging it. Both of her looks at the Cannes were a fail.
1. Ameyline Valade in Ulyana Sergeenko
I’m not familiar with who this woman is but this looks like a cheap 90’s prom dress. Her waist also looks a little awkward and cinched; she’s probably wearing a corset.
